Jan Christensen Shipping Agencies was first established in the year 2000 at the Port of Southhampton by a notable merging of the most experienced and viable local agencies operating in the nearby ports for the past 40 years. The one and only target of this merger was to bring forward a group of services that would live up to the increasing demands of the 21st century.

The company operates with branch offices in many ports and private terminals and long-term contractor subagents to all British and Irish ports.
